Jay-Z‘s investment into Roc Nation’s newest star J. Cole is paying off.
It has been a huge 2011 for Cole since droppin his debut LP, ‘Cole World: The Sideline Story,’ he has spent on the top of Billboard charts and it has earned him a 2012 Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
Cole’s label mate and boss Jay Z stated, “I think he already won Best New Artist, his journey is… what I’m really excited about. The person he is today is not who he was when he first walked in. He got a chance to really go out… see what worked, see what people connect to, figure out how he was gonna tell his story, that artist development thing, I think we need more of it. We need to ensure that this thing is around for future generations.”
