Former No Limit soldier Mystikal in is the process of getting his life back together after his six year bid for sexual battery and extortion. Since being released, the rapper signed with Young Money Records.

In a recent interview, Mystikal revealed he was very close to signing with another rapper/record label head. Mystikal told ThisIs50.com he almost signed to 50 Cent‘s G-Unit Records before the Young Money deal came through.  The “Shake Ya Ass” rhymer confessed, “Matter of fact, [me and 50 Cent] were having conversations. It was close. I was still incarcerated at that time.”

When asked why he chose to sign with Young Money over G-Unit, Mystikal explained, “I had to go with my move. I had to go with something that’s relevant, and that’s going to be effective. Then that’s home team. When I got over there, the love was through the roof.”
