Meek Mill is on top of the world, and nothing can bring him down.
The “All Eyes On You” MC gets to go home to Nicki Minaj every night, perform to sold out crowds for the rest of the summer, and now, has his first number one album.
According to Nielson Music, Meek’s Dreams Worth More Than Money album landed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart, and sold 246,000 units in its first week.
The project is also the fourth largest opening for an album in 2015 behind Drake, Kendrick, and Mumford & Sons. If you recall, Meek’s 2012 debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, sold 165,000 copies in its first week.
And in case you forgot, the rapper is signed to Roc Nation management, so it’s only right Jay Z would swing by the office and show his mentee some love.
Not only did the duo do their corporate thing together, they partied with Kevin Hart after his comedy show at Madison Square Garden this past Tuesday. It was Kevin’s night, but he had a lot of great things to say about his friend:
Congratulations on the big milestone, Meek!
