2015 BET Awards - Arrivals

This week, two actors who rose to stardom in the ’90s return to the small screen. Morris Chestnut and Wesley Snipes both have shows debuting this week, marking a diversity explosion on TV.

Morris stars in Rosewood on FOX, in which he plays a Miami pathologist named Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., who finds secrets in people’s bodies using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment – all while dealing with his own health issues. Then there’s Wesley, who stars in The Player on NBC following a former intelligence officer who works as a security expert in Las Vegas.

But don’t forget Meagan Good in Minority Report on FOX, and Nia Long, Regina Hall, and Mike Epps, who will star in Uncle Buck, a new sitcom on ABC that marks an exodus of ’90s/’00s Black movie stars from the big screen to TV.

Jada Pinkett Smith, Kerry Washington, and Oscar winners Voila Davis and Halle Berry have already made the jump to TV. So we picked out 7 other actors who were huge stars at the box office that we would love to see with their own shows. Take a look.
