Allen Iverson Delivers Emotional NBA Hall Of Fame Speech

On Friday, former NBA player turned Hall of Famer Allen Iverson made an emotional 31-minute speech thanking loved ones for his success. One of the first people he named was former Georgetown University basketball coach John Thompson“I want to thank Coach Thompson, for saving my life,” he said while holding back tears. “For giving me the opportunity.” Thompson recruited Iverson amid controversy involving Iverson’s alleged involvement in a fight that broke out at a Virginia bowling alley in 1993. Hillary Clinton has apologized for comments she made about Donald Trump‘s supporters, saying half of them could go into a so-called “basket of deplorables,” But that didn’t stop Twitter from coming up with the hashtag #BasketOfDeplorables after news broke about her comment. Twitter was as divided as the politicians, and Trump accused Clinton of name-calling. Others defended her, saying her statement was in no way as offensive as Trump’s messaging. Journalist Who Caught Melania Trump’s RNC Flub Lands Job

Jarrett Hill was an unemployed reporter when he revealed on Twitter that Melania Trump’s RNC speech heavily plagiarized Michelle Obama‘s 2008 DNC speech. Since July, his life has changed in more ways than one. In an interview with NBCBLK, the Clark Atlanta graduate revealed he is a digital correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter.
