You may or may not be familiar with the Lil Yachty associated crew The Sailing Team. One of its members Kodie Shane is making waves with her new song featuring two of Hip-Hop’s rising stars, Lil Uzi Vert, and of course captain “Lil’ Boat”, Lil Yachty, joins in on the track titled Hold Up (Dough Up).
“The single sees the three trade verses over the bubbly production courtesy of DJ Spinz, D. Clax, and Matty P, while Lil Uzi Vert takes care of the chorus that’s bound to get stuck in your head. It’s one of those songs that starts as a slow burn, with Kodie gently laying down her verse through sugary, distorted vocals, and builds into an explosion of bubble gum trap.” Pigeons and Planes describes the song.
This year so far Kodie Shane has released her debut EP 2060 and then released Lil Rocket EP a few months later.
