When the season began, it’s safe to say that NFL Pro Bowl cornerback Antonio Cromartie was hoping to make the Indianapolis Colts his new team and Indianapolis his new home for the season but he was released on late Tuesday.
Now, as you expect, Cromartie’s release from the team has caused a mixed reaction from fans, who either wanted him to stay on the roster or are happy to see him be cut. According to the organization, his release had to do with his poor contribution on defense.
However what’s interesting is that a lot of fans are questioning that statement because it comes a few days after Cromartie took a knee and raised his fist during the Colts-Jaguars pregame ceremony in London on Sunday.
Chromate’s wife, Terricka has come to his defense since he took a knee defending him against racist taunts over his new unemployment.
Along with Cromartie, the Colts cut inside linebacker Sio Moore and after losing 30-27 to the winless Jaguars on Sunday, the Colts are 1-3 and in last place in their division.
