In today’s world of social media, it’s not uncommon to see crazy or silly videos go viral.
However, in this case, the viral video was a Facebook Live recording of an elderly couple in Memphis overdosing on heroin and what made it worse was that crowd gathered around and began taking pictures and laughing.
According to NY Daily, Memphis police say the couple had snorted heroin in a nearby Walgreens before collapsing on the sidewalk in the middle of the afternoon. Thankfully, when media emergency personnel they were able to revived them.
Since going viral, the video has garnered over 1 million viewers and it is constantly growing, causing people to criticize not only the people in the video but the man who filmed it and posted it to social media, Courtland Garner.
