In today’s society, it’s not uncommon for people to post what some people call “inappropriate videos” on social media. In fact, various people do it everyday, including celebrities.

However, now it looks like rapper Nicki Minaj has fallen under that category of posting an “inappropriate video” and she is receiving backlash for it.

This is all started on Monday night when Minaj posted a video of herself laughing and calling after a woman on the streets of Miami as she tells her to “go away” and that she “doesn’t need her help.” See the post below:

After she posted the video on Instagram, it was confirmed that the woman is well known in that area and has a mental illness. So as you can expect, some simply laughed off, while others felt it was disrespectful for Nicki to post the video and make fun of her, considering she is mentally ill.

The backlash has grown so much that according to TMZ, The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-Miami) is criticizing Minaj.

“Nobody would make fun of a cancer patient, and mental illness is an illness like any other.”  A rep for NAMI says, per TMZ.

Minaj has yet to respond to the backlash but she also hasn’t taken the video down from Instagram.
