These 8 pros and cons on getting married at a young age is to help you make your decision. In order to make a decision, you have to look at things both ways – hence the pros and cons. Let’s get started now:

To start with, I am going to give you the four cons of getting married at a young age:

1. Not enough time to get to know each other

Chances are, you really do not know one another. If you rush into marriage, then you are not going to get the time to know each other fully.

2. How is the financial well-being?

Of course, younger people are just starting out, so the financial well-being may not be so good. With that in mind, you probably won’t have a big wedding.

3. Can you go to college and be married?

Do you think you can go to college and be married? Sure, but you have to stay faithful.

4. Will you have time for your friends?

When you get married, are you going to have enough time with your friends? Do your friends mind hanging out with a married couple?

Now, it’s time for the pros. Of course, I favor the pros, as long as you know that you are ready to get married!

1. You get to start your life together at a young age

Since the two of you are starting out together at a young age and you do not get adivorce, you will be able to marry about how long you have been together when you turn 50!

2. If you marry at a young age, maybe your partner has only had sex with you and vice versa

I lost my virginity to my husband and he lost his to me. I am not ashamed to admit this and I know he has the same thoughts. He does not have to wonder how many people I have slept with in the past.

3. You can plan your future together at a young age

When getting married at a young age, you will be able to plan your future together. You will not jump into a relationship with your future already in the process. This way, you won’t have to worry about dating someone who is across the state, etc. Play your cards right and things will go smoothly.

4. You get a head start from all of the others

If you decide to have children, then they are going to be older when your friends start having children. I think of this as a good thing. You are younger and can take all of that energy they have.

You see, I am all for younger marriages, but I do know that the divorce statistics are high. If you believe that you have what it takes and in your heart, soul and mind, you believe he or she is the right one, then maybe you should get married. I am sure many of you anti-young marriage people will post some “rude” opinions on here, but you have to understand that everyone has their own opinions. So, which are you for? Do you believe in young marriage?
