R&B star The-Dream nearly took his own life over his failed marriage to pop singer Christina Milian.

In a new blog post released last Friday, the “Make Up Bag” singer admits that the difficulties in their relationship made him suicidal.  The-Dream writes, quote, “I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.  This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion!  It’s a real thing that involves real people!”  The-Dream says another woman did not cause their marriage to break down, and states that he takes full responsibility for misleading people into thinking that his marriage was “fine and okay.”  He adds, quote, “I am human and people fall in and out of love all the time…This is life.  Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I.  I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE!”

The-Dream and Christina Milian tied the knot during a quick ceremony last September, and held a much larger wedding celebration in Rome in December.  They welcomed their only child, a daughter named Violet, in March.  On July 10th, photos surfaced of The-Dream getting close with his assistant while in the Caribbean.  Later that day, a rep for the singer said he had separated from Milian late last year.
