Legendary hip-hop duo Eric B. and Rakim will be taking their place in Long Island history next month.

AllHipHop.com is reporting that the rap stars will be inducted into the Long Island Hall of Fame on November 16th.  Also set for induction next month are folk singer Oscar Brand, jazz pianist Teddy Charles, and guitarist Lou Reed.  The Vice Chairman of the Long Island Hall of Fame, Tom Needham, says Eric B. and Rakim are a great addition to the institution.

He states, quote, “No one can deny the huge contributions that both Eric B. and Rakim have made to hip-hop history.  Few can match the turntable skills of Eric B., and Rakim’s vocal style changed rap forever.”

Tickets for next month’s induction ceremony — which will take place at the Oheka Castle — are available at limusichalloffame.org.
