Weezy fans we are sorry to inform you that Lil Wayne will not be released from rikers island today. The rapper must spend one more day behind bars.
“His time was miscalculated,” said a Rikers Island official to MTV News in the wee hours of the morning. “He owed, he owes one day of ‘good time,’ so it’s gonna be another night.”
Weezy has already served eight months, but the incident in which Carter was caught with an MP3 player and headphones may have been the reason for the extended stay. The extra day shouldn’t affect Lil Wayne’s plans to celebrate his release on Sunday at a Miami strip club.
