Kanye West apparently had a few things he needed to get off his chest when he took the stage last week at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.

E! News is reporting that the emcee once again discussed his incident with Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, claiming the country-pop superstar did nothing to defend him in the months that followed.  Kanye reportedly told the crowd, quote, “Taylor never came to my defense in any interview and [she] rode the wave, and rode it and rode it!”

Kanye also took a moment to address former President George W. Bush’s admission that one of the lowest points during his time in office was when Kanye said he didn’t care about African-Americans during a Hurricane Katrina telethon.  The “Lost In The World” rapper says Bush’s comments were blown out of proportion by the media simply because he was involved.

West adds, quote, “Because of the popularity of me, they exploited that to make you watch the interview and make you feel that he was stupider than ever…it shows you the way they try to villainize.”

Kanye is currently supporting his new album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” which arrived in stores last week.
