Even R&B superstar Alicia Keys can’t avoid the pitfalls of a struggling real estate market. AllHipHop.com is reporting that the Grammy winning singer has reduced the price on her mansion in Syosset, New York. The six-bedroom home went on the market back in June for three-point-five-million-dollars, but is now listed for two-point-99-million.
Keys’ gated home sits on two-point-two acres and features an in-ground pool, marble floors, and spiral staircases. This past July, Alicia Keys and her husband — hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz — purchased Lenny Kravitz’s Manhattan penthouse for 14-million-dollars. They reportedly bought the home for more than five-million-dollars, less than the asking price. Keys and Swizz welcomed their first child together, a baby boy they named Egypt, on October 14th.
