It’s been a few years since “Crank Dat” took over the airwaves and Everybody young and old at least attempted to do the Superman. Many people laughed it off the rest confirmed Hip-Hop’s Demise, however the man Behind the music didn’t go anywhere. In fact, he turned that song you hated into a legit rap career. The story of a kid taking a youtube video and turning himself into a self made millionaire is indeed worth listening to and admiring. However this latest project couldn’t have come at a worse time

Soulja Boy probably made the only song with Trey Songz that no radio station is going to play. Honestly he should have put “LOL Smiley face” on this album and just let people call him lazy and the song old.
On Grammy, I’m not really sure what he was trying to do. That song is NOT going to wake people up to his skill and ability and earn him any Nods on any awards panel.
I really think when Pretty Boy Swag dropped and the world latched on to it he should have dropped this album. I think the momentum of that record alone would have got him Double Platinum Status. The Bad Press with Kat Stacks, Canceling Shows and with Speakers going Hammer not getting the Big Push it needs I can see why this album is suffering and he only moved 13K first week
OVERALL…I give this album a 2/5. If I’m being real and polite 75% of this album is trash and hard to listen to. I honestly think he tried too hard to prove he can rap. That 30 THOUSAND HUNDRED MILLION with Lil B and Arab only proved that he is definitely better than his friends and allies in his age bracket.
What you can’t deny is that Soulja Boy got money and he will be dropping albums until he feels he shouldn’t and since he is just now creeping towards his early 20’s that could be a really long time.
