Hello 2011!!!

I am very optimistic about 2011 and what the year will bring!  I look forward to the new experiences and challenges to come.  I spent most of my vacation mapping out my goals for this year.  I lost sight of most of my goals last year so I still have some “make goods” that have rolled over to 2011.  I am the “Queen of Goal Setting” by the way! I have goals for my friendships, family, work, business, spiritual goals, goals for my daughter, goals for school, home improvement goals! I have Monthly goals, weekly goals and daily goals! You name it…I gotta goal for it!  I even have a goal on how to NOT to lose track of my goals this year! lol!

I woke up January 1st around 12PM. However, I didn’t get out of bed until around 4!  I got out of the bed feeling refreshed like my my slate was clean.  I have yet another year to get this right!  I immediately went into the master bathroom and wrote 4 affirmations on the mirror.  These four things are the first things I will say to myself everyday to keep myself focused.  It’s really cool because anytime I go into the bathroom I am forced to read them! I would suggest you do the same to keep yourself on track.

I saw the movie EAT, PRAY, LOVE over the holiday and it inspired me so much!  I had so many similarities to the main character that it was almost erie! I decided to follow in her footsteps.  While I won’t be taking a trip to Italy or Bali this year, I will certainly take time for myself. It’s time to figure out how to love myself.  Sometimes we don’t realize how much we don’t love ourselves until we take a look at how we allow people to treat us.  Maybe its our friends, family, co-workers or spouse that treats us like crap and we continue to allow it.  It’s time to make a change. One the quotes from the movie is “Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation”  I see exactly what she means.  I’m in the rebuilding process.  Sometimes things have to crumble in order to be put back together in the proper way.  The CRUMBLIZATION is over! (I made that up but you can use it if you want to! LOL!) Now is it time to start over fresh!

I lift my glass (sparkling grape juice of course) to you! Happy New Year.  May we all rebuild ourselves for the better in 2011
