A man claiming to be a booking agent for R&B singer Keyshia Cole was arrested earlier this month for trying to scam a college student. The “Shreveport Times” is reporting that Percy Pittman was apprehended by police in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 5th while attempting to collect payment from the victim. Back in December, Pittman allegedly told the victim he was connected to Keyshia Cole and presented a contract to hire the singer for an AIDS benefit at a local college. Pittman received a 750-dollar down payment, with an additional 63-hundred-dollars to be paid at a later date. The victim eventually became suspicious of the contract, and asked the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force to investigate. It was eventually determined that the contract was a fraud. Pittman was scheduled to meet with the victim on January 5th to collect another three-thousand-dollars, but police were waiting to place him under arrest. He is now facing a felony theft charge.
