New music from rap superstar 50 Cent isn’t far off. The emcee spoke with MTV News last weekend and said he’s nearly finished with his next album, “Black Magic.” Fif states, quote, “I’m about 80 percent done with my new album. It should be out this summer, I’m working on that.” Fifty Cent says he’s excited to release a new record, noting that he’s looking forward to seeing how everyone responds to it. The “Baby By Me” rapper goes on to say that “Black Magic” will have a sound similar to his earlier work, particularly his debut album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.” He adds, quote, “What I offered on ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was all the dysfunctional behavior I had seen all my entire life and I became the album to the general public.”
Fifty Cent’s last release was 2009’s “Before I Self Destruct.” The record debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified gold.
