Don’t ever say that Lupe Fiasco’s fans aren’t dedicated. In anticipation of the emcee’s sophomore effort, “Lasers,” Lupe supporters have announced “Fiasco Friday Two.” According to HipHopDX.com, the campaign is calling for fans to gather at New York’s Union Square on the day “Lasers” arrives and purchase the album. Fans in Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles are also working to organize similar events. Lupe discussed the campaign on his Twitter account writing, quote, “Fiasco Friday 2? Wow! Dedicated.” Lupe Fiasco’s “Lasers” will arrive in stores on Tuesday, March 8th.
Back on October 15th, Lupe Fiasco fans staged “Fiasco Friday” outside the offices of Atlantic Records. The campaign was in protest of the label’s delayed release of Lupe’s “Lasers” album.
