Rapper Juelz Santana is facing criminal charges stemming from his arrest on Wednesday.
According to authorities in New Jersey, they apprehended the emcee on several charges including possession of a firearm and a controlled dangerous substance.
Santana was taken to the Bergen County Jail where his bail was set at 125-thousand-dollars. Santana’s arrest stems from a January 20th raid of the rap star’s studio in which police found two loaded handguns and drug paraphernalia.
Santana wasn’t arrested during the raid, but his Skull Gang associate Hynief was taken into custody. Santana recently discussed the incident saying, quote, “They always picking on me – that’s the best way I can put it.”
Juelz Santana is currently working on his third solo release, “Born to Lose, Built to Win.” A release date for the record hasn’t been announced.
