Here are some predictions for the 2011 Grammy’s tonight. We will focus on all the categories where major Black artists’ are nominated.

Song of the Year

“Beg, Steal Or Borrow” – Ray Lamontagne, songwriter (Ray LaMontagne And The Pariah Dogs)

“Fuck You” – Cee Lo Green, Philip Lawrence & Bruno Mars, songwriters

(Cee Lo Green)

“The House That Built Me” – Tom Douglas & Allen Shamblin, songwriters (Miranda

Lambert)

“Love The Way You Lie” – Alexander Grant, Holly Hafferman & Marshall Mathers,

songwriters (Eminem Featuring Rihanna)

“Need You Now” – Dave Haywood, Josh Kear, Charles Kelley & Hillary Scott,

songwriters (Lady Antebellum)

Prediction: While Eminem & Rihanna are favored to sing, I feel Cee-Lo should win for taking a curse word and making a great song using it in a chorus. Many looked at it as a gimmick when they first heard rumors of the song, but it turned out to be a great song recognized by the academy.
