Rapper turned reality TV star Flavor Flav has a new project in the works.

The Public Enemy hype man tells the “Baltimore Sun” that he’s been in talks with Iowa’s Clinton High School to shoot a new reality series called “Flavor Flav Goes Back To School.”

The show would revolve around Flav’s journey to earn the high school diploma he never received.  The emcee says along with gaining an education, he hopes the show will allow him to serve as an inspiration to people everywhere.

“I want this show to be able to influence people my age, that if you dropped out of high school when you were young it’s never too late to go back to get your diploma.”

Clinton Schools Superintendent Deb Olson isn’t on board with his idea.  She says the show would be a, quote, “substantial disruption to the school day,” adding that she hopes Flav can find a way to help the district that won’t have “an adverse affect on students.”

Flavor Flav is no stranger to Clinton, Iowa, as it is home to his recently-opened Flav’s Fried Chicken.
