Two men suspected of shooting Waka Flocka’s tour bus on Wednesday afternoon (February 16) in Charlotte, North Carolina, are still in the run.

Charlotte, NC police have stated that a high speed chase that took place in the city last night (February 17)was related to the shooting of Waka Flocka Flame’s tour bus.

According to local Charlotte news network, WSOTC, the alleged assailants led Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers (CMPD) on a high speed chase  last night, but were able to escape arrest. Waka was at Car Stereo Warehouse in Charlotte on Wednesday afternoon, when a group drove in to the store’s parking lot and unleashed at least five shots at his bus.

Flame’s security detail returned fire and, according to NBC news affiliate, WCNC, hit an innocent bystander in the shoulder. A fan of the “No Hands” rapper, the man, an aspiring rapper, was hoping to get a record deal with the rapper.  He is recovering in Presbyterian Hospital.

Authorities in the area were on the look out for two vehicles, a white Dodge Charger and a Land Rover.  When the Charger was spotted last night by undercover officers, the car sped off. After the car struck a police vehicle, its occupants jumped out and fled on foot.   Police believe that the individuals in the car were involved with the shooting of Waka Flocka Flame’s tour bus.
