Billboard.com says the emcee was released by the New York State Department of Corrections on Monday morning.  Prodigy was reportedly let out early for good behavior, but will be on parole until 2014.  Prodigy, whose real name is Albert Johnson, was arrested in October of 2006 after police found a weapon in his car.  The following October, he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for the crime.  Prodigy will be chronicling his time behind bars, as well as his career in the rap industry, when he drops his upcoming autobiography.  A release date for the project has not been announced.
