> St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 11:30 a.m. North and Pennsylvania streets. The 31st annual parade proceeds south on Pennsylvania Street, west to Meridian Street, and north to Vermont Street near the St. Patrick’s Day Tent Party. Among the parade participants: 1,200 school children, the Ancient Order of the Hibernians and the Indianapolis Firefighters’ Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, and a variety of companies, nonprofits, local celebrities and elected officials. This year’s Irish Citizens of the Year, Sister Barbara McClelland and Sister Rita Ann Wade of the Sisters of Providence (which operate Miracle Place), will serve as grand marshals.
