President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are helping Oprah Winfrey close out her talk show in grand style.  The first couple is scheduled to tape an episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in Chicago tomorrow for broadcast May 2nd.  The President is no stranger to Oprah’s couch, having once appeared on her talk show in 2006 while he was still a senator from Illinois.  Oprah drew criticism in 2008 when she publicly announced her support for Obama’s campaign for the White House.

The president’s visit to Oprah is not without criticism, either.  Some critics say his time would be better spent working on the nation’s budget and other worldly matters.  The Obamas are expected to attend several fundraisers during their visit to the Windy City.

The President and Mrs. Obama are among a number of high-profile guests Oprah has invited to help close out the 25th and final season of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”  Real estate mogul and tentative presidential hopeful Donald Trump says he’s considering an invitation Oprah reportedly sent him to undergo a hair makeover on one of the show’s final episodes.

After 25 years on the air, Oprah’s syndicated series will air its final episode May 25th.  Advertisers are said to be paying up to seven figures to air their spots during the show’s finale.
