Lil Wayne is unplugging for MTV next month.

The rapper is stripping down his act for “MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged.” Set to air Sunday, June 12th on MTV, MTV2 and MTV.com, the special will find Weezy taking the stage to perform some of the biggest hits from his catalog of music.

Wayne will be the first rap act to deliver a televised “Unplugged” performance since Jay-Z’s set in 2001. Wayne’s performance also comes 20 years after LL Cool J, A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul performed on the first “Yo! Unplugged Rap.”

Lil Wayne will drop his highly-anticipated album “Tha Carter Four” on June 21st.
