Since yesterday’s announcement about Goodie Mob’s return has excited hip hop fans, today we hear that Big Boi talks about a return of ATL group Outkast.

Boi has high hopes that the reunion is very likley since music mogul L.A. Reid‘s new promotion as Epic Records chairman will unite him with fellow group member Andre 3000.

Big Boi states to SOHH.com:

I think it’s very much possible because we have L.A. Reid in our corner now, and he was the first to sign Outkast,”

If all goes well, that move should undo the label roadblocks (Big Boi has a solo deal with Def Jam, while Outkast is signed to Jive) that kept the pair’s “Lookin’ for Ya” collaboration off of Big Boi’s 2010 solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. (Rolling Stone)

Last week, Boi said he is practically ready to drop Daddy Fat Sax. Saying that he is 17 songs into Daddy Fat Sax and could release it tomorrow if he wanted to.

I’mma marinate on it because I’m on the road. I feel good about it, all the music’s sounding great.” Big Boi went on to say, “Straight lyrical assassin, and the beats are going to be as hard hitting as always. I’mma let everything else be a surprise, and just let it speak for itself.”
