With everything that we have going on in our lives it is very important to dedicate some “me” time to ourselves.  We can make 1000 excuses on why we can’t but even if it is just 15 minutes it is very necessary.  I take 15 minutes in the morning to meditate before I wake up my daughter.  I clear my mind of everything and sit in peace.  I do believe that this helps to start my day off right and prepare my mind for positive thoughts.  On the weekend, I dedicate an hour to sitting or walking and just paying attention to nature.  I know this may sound corny but it works.  Last weekend, I walked the canal for a little bit and then just sat for a half hour and looked at all the beautiful people walking by.

I am a pretty busy person.  My mind is even busier! I find myself constantly thinking about what I have to do for work, school, my daughter, my foundation, and things for myself. It takes me a long time to get into a deep mediation cause I am thinking about not thinking!!! It’s like my mind never stops to recharge.  I am learning the importance of this and making an effort to fix my lifestyle.  Do you meditate or take time out to sit in peace?
