Lil’ Wayne has had a great week, with his album The Carter IV breaking records for most iTunes downloads in one week. The album sold 300,000 units within the first four days of its release, surpassing Watch the Throne’s 290,000 downloads.
So far the album has sold 895,000 units and counting, making for the biggest first-week sales numbers since his 2008 release Tha Carter III.
This is truly pretty impressive considering the album leaked several days before its release, proving nothing can keep Weezy down! And with all that said, I thought The Carter IV was decent at best!
