Two truths were revelaed in two interviews about the inner workings of Young Money/Cash Money.

Former Cash Money Records artist Mannie Fresh has revealed the plans on the long awaited reunion of the Hot Boys were never real.

Fresh spoke to SOHH.com and stated, a Hot Boys reunion was nothing more than attention-generating talk.

“Well, I always did say that’s not happening. It was just a ploy; it was just something to make them look good at the time. It was like, okay, we saying this, but I’m like, How are y’all saying this, and y’all not getting in touch with nobody about it? It’s like asking somebody something in an interview and you don’t know how to dodge that question ’cause the next question might be the same thing you asking me. Like, “Well, dude, okay, if it ain’t gonna be that, then how you gonna straighten out things with these people?” So the easiest way to get out of that is like, “Yeah, we working on it, we doing it.” (Hip Hop DX)

It was also revealed that Young Money’s one-woman army also wrote for her boss, Lil Wayne a few back as a ghostwriter.

Nicki claims she initially penned a Weezy verse for Rick Ross’ current “You the Boss” anthem.

“You know what’s interesting about that song,” Minaj said while in character as her alter ego, the Female Weezy, “Nicki originally did that song for Wayne two and a half years ago.” The slow-rolling track, which is the first single off of Ross’ upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t, finds Minaj on the hook toasting the larger-than-life Rozay. “I’ll do anything you say, anything, ’cause you the boss,” Nicki sings softly. Wayne never ended up using the track, but it seemed all too perfect for Ricky. “It was just lingering, and then she gave it to Rick Ross ,” Lady Wayne said. “I think it’s hot.” (RapFix)
