Today at 4pm the Indianapolis Colts will announce the next step in their rebuilding process, the firing of head coach Jim Caldwell.

The former coach made his NFL debut as an assistant to Tony Dungy in Tampa Bay, then Jim rose to the quarterbacks coach position and eventually elevated as Colts assistant coach.

In January 2009, after Tony Dungy’s retirement, Caldwell was introduced as Colts head coach. Two years later, the Colts finish 2-14 with the league’s worst record with the St. Louis Rams.
