Former Miami Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall could be on the receiving end of a lawsuit. Marshall gave a girl a black eye while she was out celebrating her birthday at a club.
The Miami Herald reported Marshall and his wife were at a Manhattan nightspot when he got involved in an altercation with a group of friends celebrating a birthday. The woman, Christin Myles, left the second floor of the club to greet a friend who she spotted downstairs. When Myles tried to return upstairs, bouncers blocked her path saying Brandon Marshall and another NFL player were fighting and were about to be thrown out of the establishment.
Once Myles found her way to her friends after they were escorted out, she found Marshall and the other athlete, who remains unidentified, in a screaming match with her friends. Myles was then struck in the eye by Marshall. It’s unclear if he was aiming at her or someone near her. Another woman was also injured that night as a result of the fight. Brandon Marshall’s wife was reportedly hit in the face by a bottle. Christin Myles filed a police report, but the Marshalls have not. Brandon Marshall’s attorney said, “While attempting to leave the melee, (Marshall’s wife) was struck in the face by a thrown bottle. She suffered serious injury. The mayhem continued outside.”
