Lil Wayne may call himself the best rapper alive, but he does not think he’s the most fashionable.
That honor goes to another hip-hop heavyweight. “If I had to consider someone the most stylish rapper out there I would definitely say that would be Kanye West,” Weezy told “The Showbiz 411” during the launch of his skate apparel and accessories line TRUKFIT at Macy’s in Los Angeles.
However, he’s not so sure about his Young Money protégé Drake’s style. “I don’t think Drake is a fashion dude,” laughed Tunechi. “He’s way more when it comes to getting dressed, meaning getting dressy. He’s light years ahead of me with that. As far as just kicking it, he’s the khakis, the camouflage pants, and some kind of sweater that says something with a bird on it or OVO or Take Care or something.”
Weezy has teamed up with SUPRA for a collection of footwear designs, inspired by him, which will drop at retailers in early 2013.
