Despite rampant Internet rumors, Chris Brown was not, Gossipcop.com reports, arrested for gun possession at last night’s BET Awards.
With escalating Twitter chatter, the website x17online.com posted a story at 9PM PDT suggesting the R&B star had rolled into L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium with a weapon, just in case of another showdown with rival Drake.
As it turns out, there’s no truth to the story: Breezy was neither packing heat nor picked up by the LAPD, and Drizzy wasn’t even at the awards — which is probably for the best, since he would have had to watch Brown pick up the Entertainer of the Year prize.
“Nothing of the sort happened,” a rep for Brown told Gossipcop.com.
