Just days away from the long-awaited G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Summer album hitting store shelves, Kanye West’s star-studded compilation project is currently circulating online courtesy of a leak.

According to reports, the new LP’s full-length release became available, illegally, late Wednesday (September 12) night.

As expected, Kanye West ‘s G.O.O.D. Music compilation ‘Cruel Summer’ leaked online Wednesday night (Sept. 12), much to the chagrin of his record label Def Jam. In recent years, album leaks on the Internet have become more exciting than the actually release date. Several songs from the 12-track LP have already surfaced on the web and publications like SPIN and the Los Angeles Times have already offered their first-listen reviews of the collection. Fan reactions to the album on Twitter have been mixed. One follower wrote , ‘Cruel Summer’ may not be the greatest album ever, but it bangs so hard in the car!” while another tweeted , “I’m not even disappointed with ‘Cruel Summer,’ I said it would be average and it is (imo).” (Pop Crush)

Recently, G.O.O.D. Music’s Hit-Boy said the LP got delayed due to some last-minute changes.

In a recent interview with VIBE.com, G.O.O.D. Music producer Hit-Boy confirmed that he was heading out to Hawaii to finish the project with the team. “We’re going to be out there for a little bit just helping Kanye finish up Cruel Summer and helping Kanye do his new ideas for his new stuff,” Hit-Boy tells VIBE. “Just fine tuning. Everybody’s adding their last little input. And verses here and there. It’s going to be crazy I can tell you that.” Kanye has been known to be the most creative while locking in his whole team on the tropical island. But for Hit, the experience will be a brand new one. “I’ve never been [to Hawaii]. I started messing with [Kanye] after that process,” Hit-Boy says. [But] with ‘Ye it’s always a movie.” (VIBE)

G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Malik Yusef broke the news of the delayed release last month.

The disc, originally due out in early August and then pushed to September 4, is now apparently slated to drop on September 18, according to G.O.O.D. extended family member Malik Yusef, who broke the news with a tweet on Friday. “Yeah, it looks like a push back on #cruelsummer but our wish has 4 additional features has MOSt DEFinitely been granted,” he wrote. Initial plans were to have the LP hit store shelves in early August.

The album was originally set for an August 7 release, but was delayed until September 4th. Now it seems the project has suffered an additional 2 week delay in order to include 4 additional features, with one of them being Mos Def, and will be released on September 18th. (Under The Gun Review)
