LL Cool J has lost his father, James Nunya. The rapper-actor recently took to Twitter to tell fans of his dad’s passing at the age of 65.
“RIP to My Father James Nunya. You passed away … But The lessons you taught me live on in my heart. Thank you. I love you,” he wrote online.
LL later thanked fans for their supportive tweets, writing “I thank you all for your prayers and love. I truly appreciate you.”
People magazine reports LL was raised by his mother Ondrea Smith in Queens, N.Y. She and Nunya divorced when the rapper was only 4 years old.
