Finding My Obama-2

Ladies, are you looking for you very own Barack? Well then this web-series is definitely for you!

Lead actress Nefetari Spencer, who’s had small roles in “The Bernie Mac Show” plays Nef, a Chicago raised, L.A. transplant starring in “Finding My Obama.” The Internet show takes place “somewhere in LA” and follows Nef as she navigates the crazy dating scene searching for her perfect guy, while trying to land her first movie role.

The show is created by Antonia March and Jacqueline McKinley, the Emmy-award winning writing duo that rose to fame for their work on “The Bernie Mac Show.”

The light-hearted series helps paint a humorous picture around the plight of dating for Black women. Episode 1 opens with Nef kicking her gentleman caller Xavier, (a freelance scientist) out the morning after, but only after loaning him $2 for the bus. In Episode 2, Nef falls for the charm of a well-dressed “consultant” and later learns he’s he’s really homeless. The foolery that ensues will surely have you and your girls   reminiscing about your own bad dates.

The series not only brings the laughs, but will also helps spark conversation between the genders. Well-written, clever and told from our perspective, “Finding My Obama” will definitely help women feel like “Wow, it isn’t just me.”

You don’t have to watch the first four episodes to catch up, just jump right in and peep episode 5 below.
