Spike+LeeSpike Lee is accustomed to perceiving Indianapolis as enemy territory when his beloved Knicks play the Pacers.

In July, Spike returns to the Circle City for a special honor.

Dave Lindquist of The Indy Star reports, the filmmaker will be honored at this year’s Indiana Black Expo corporate luncheon as its “Outstanding Achievement” award winner.

As a director, Lee’s credits include the films “Do the Right Thing,” “Malcolm X,” “He Got Game,” “25th Hour” and “Inside Man.”
