Atlanta rapper Ludacris has always been known for his animated rhymes and punchlines. According to one rapper, those rhymes and punchlines aren’t Ludacris’. The rapper/actor is being sued by a rapper out of Chicago who claims Luda jacked quite a few lines of his for his 2010 Trey Songz-assisted “Sex Room.”

A Chicago rhymesayer named Marvo says he came up with the concept and lyrics for “Sex Room” a year before Ludacris ever even thought of making a song called “Sex Room.” Marvo says he worked on an early version of the song with a producer named Kajun. Kajun sold the song to Luda behind Marvo’s back. While Luda and Kajun did change a few parts, Marvo says there are lyrics still in the song that he originally wrote like “Welcome to my sex room” and “It’s a private party.”

Despite the track becoming a Top 5 hit on the Rap and R&B charts, Marvo says he hasn’t received a dime in royalties for his contribution. Now, he’s suing Ludacris and Trey Songz for an undisclosed amount of money. We don’t know why Trey Songz is being named in the suit considering he isn’t listed as a writer in the song credits.

Neither Luda or Trey Songz has made a statement regarding the matter as of yet.
