There are rare opportunities and dates with destiny that happen in one’s career <http://midtnhiphop.com/moss-da-beast-1-on-1-w-don-cannon/#> , especially in the entertainment/music industry and you must be prepared and take advantage of.
As such for MossDaBeast on Saturday June 29th, Concrete Magazine hosted Industry Insider “Power Mixer”, which gives select independent artist a private in studio listening session with industry heavy weights.
MossDaBeast and his team entered a Music Row studio on this particular Saturday to sit down for a 1 on 1 with DJ/Grammy Winning Producer Don Cannon. The session started with “God’s Mission Interlude” Produced by Bandplay, the 2nd track was the banger “Turbo” which includes one of MossDaBeast Producers Yella Tha OG accompanying him and is Produced by Huntsville’s Best Block Beattaz, the listening session was completed <http://midtnhiphop.com/moss-da-beast-1-on-1-w-don-cannon/#> by the more laidback track “Marley’s Son” Produced by Chronic Hits.
After listening to all 3 tracks, Cannon <http://midtnhiphop.com/moss-da-beast-1-on-1-w-don-cannon/#> gave his feedback and critique of each song; Cannon stated “God’s Mission” is a campaign song, “Turbo” is the performance and Marley’s Son is the story, Cannon had initially asked MossDaBeast why he gave the song that title? MossDaBeast has replied ” Part spiritual bond and tribute because I was born on the day of his death and common interest(with a slight laugh)!”
Cannon added “people will have to see you to get you and to understand your style”. “You are a performance artist!” I will say as a music lover and one who believes that the best artist know how to put on a show, if you can only stand in a studio behind a mic, who will spend their money on you?
Ultimately, Cannon concluded he liked what he heard and “keep doing what you do”. Rare opportunity and dates with destiny. How sweet it is when you get those chances and its a positive experience.
