“Ride Along,” Universal’s upcoming buddy comedy starring Kevin Hart as a jittery, fast-talking security guard and Ice Cube as a serious, take-no-prisoners cop, has its first teaser trailer.
In the film Ben (Hart) is dating Angela (Tika Sumpter), but her overly-protective older brother James (Cube) doesn’t approve of the union — specifically, because Ben is both a “clown” and a “little man-Smurf.”
When Ben tells James that he’s planning to propose, the cop asks Ben to prove his worth by coming with him on a ride-along.
