These two have been inseparable for the past 2 or 3 years, and have been making music together for years prior to that. Although it may be difficult for you to believe, the two actually got into a few HEATED debates during the creation ofJay-Z’s last album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.
“We had this whole plan when me and Kanye did the Watch the Throne album that we would go right into our solos afer that, “Jay tells a BBC DJ, “Soon as I thought we had wrapped up Watch The Throne, I made two records – Holy Grail and Oceans and I played those records for Kanye. And he was like, ‘ No, those have to go on Watch the Throne.” Jay went on to say they got into an argument about the whole situation, enough for member’s of their ‘teams’ to get a little heated.
