FatJoeFat Joe begins his four-month sentence for tax evasion today. But before checking in, the Bronx rapper penned a farewell note to his fans and left them with some new music.

The 43-year-old was sentenced in June for failing to pay taxes on $3 million in income between 2007-2010, totaling a tax loss of $718,038. He is scheduled to be released in late December, just in time for New Year’s.

FARE WELL MY PEOPLE IM BOUT TO TAKE THAT RIDE SEE U AT DIDDYS HOUSE FOR NEW YEARS#GODWILLINGINSHALLAH,” tweeted Joe.

He also dropped his album The Darkside 3 for free via Rap Radar. The 10 tracks include the Action Bronson-assisted single “Your Honor,” with production from DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, and Cool & Dre.
