“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.” – Maya Angelou

Mama Angelou (Maya Angelou) knew what success look like. She lived a prosperous life that poured over into the lives of others. I believe there are moments in our lives when we THINK we know what our purpose is and ultimately there is a shift in our lives. The shift is there because a season has ended. The lifestyle or thinking pattern that we once had are no longer satisfying. We begin to feel uneasy and desire more. There are some of us who walk down a dark path of trying to figure out why we exist. Why are we here…again? What does the Creator want from us at this point in our lives? How can I get out of this dark cave of wondering souls? We begin to search deep within ourselves to seek the light and the happiness we once felt. One thing I have learned is that there are certain gifts and talents that were given unto me that are constant. When I use the term “constant” I am saying it’s a gift that will forever be the same. It is the one thing that I can always refer back to that will lead me to my purpose or help me to remember what my overall purpose in life is. Once I tap into the gift or the one thing that makes me who I am, then I am directed back to the correct path. It’s a path of happiness that leads to success. It’s a path to knowing who I am, why I am here and essentially “liking”…..Me.  It is the road to liking me, liking what I do and liking how I do it. Success.
