There’s been rumors of a feud brewing between Young Thug and Lil Wayne lately, and Thugger may have just taken the beef to another level with the name of his next project. The ATL rapper announced on his Instagram today that the project will be called Carter 6. Is this an homage to Lil Wayne or a blatant diss?

Thug announced a while ago that he would be calling his project Carter 6 as a tribute to Weezy, who has had a huge influence on Thug. But with the recent tensions between Lil Wayne and Thug’s mentor Birdman, it seems odd now that Thug would call his project Carter 6, especially with Weezy’s long-overdue Carter 5 album still in limbo. Young Thug also included a snippet of Weezy’s song “Grindin’” on his Instagram
