After 10 weeks of consecutive growth, “Empire” continued it’s winning streak with a #1 soundtrack.  The “Empire” soundtrack, featuring show favorites like “Drip Drop” and “Keep Your Money,” debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts this week. The 18-track disc sold over 130,000 units between traditional album sales and streaming services.

The Fox show has been a hit since it premiered in January and is showing no signs of slowing down. Season 2 has already been confirmed with guest appearances by Oprah and Common.

Madonna’s album “Rebel Heart” came in at #2 with over 120,000 units sold.

With the success of the album & TV show, “Empire” may go down in history as one of the greatest TV shows.
