How are you really going to come for someone’s mom like this, though?

LA Clippers forward Matt Barnes was just fined $50K by the NBA for allegedly shouting “Suck my d***, b***h,” to  Monja Willis, the mother of Houston Rockets star James Harden.

Barnes agreed that he said something “disrespectful” but called the rumors that he said those words “crazy” and “untrue.”

He also said he apologized to Willis and they’ve since cleared things up.

He told the L.A. Times:

We’ve made our peace. We’ve spoken twice since the incident. She said something, and I said something back. I spoke to her at halftime, and I spoke to her after the game. We’re fine.

In reaction to the statements to his mother, Harden told reporters, “any situation where you’re talking about somebody’s parents is disrespectful.”

Barnes has been fined $75K by the NBA this year alone for bad behavior, including kicking water and shouting profane language at a fan.

He’s defended himself by saying that players are treated like “animals in a cage” by fans who “run and tell when we respond.”

Man, if you don’t take your millions, do your job and keep quiet during the game. No one deserves to be heckled, but that doesn’t give you the right to talk to someone’s mother in such a disrespectful manner.
