Now that Cpl. Eric Casebolt has resigned from the McKinney, Texas Police Department, the teen he arrested for allegedly interfering with his aggressive handling of 14-year-old Dajerria Becton has had all charges against him dropped, USA Today reports.

Eighteen-year-old Adrian Martin was the only person arrested last Friday during the incident involving Casebolt and the teenage girl. Martin and his lawyer claim he was simply trying to calm Becton down when he was arrested for interfering with police and evading arrest.

Martin can be seen in the now-viral video of the incident telling Becton he would call her mother, as she requested. As Casebolt twists Becton’s arm, a group of teens surround him and try to help the frightened, unarmed teen. It was then that Casebolt took out his gun, pointing it at Martin and the others.

Meanwhile, two White women who allegedly attacked 19-year-old Tatyana Rhodes have not been arrested. Rhodes, who threw the pool party, spoke to CNN Tuesday night, claiming the women told her and the other African-American teens to go back to their “Section 8 Housing.”

Martin says he doesn’t regret his actions during the pool party, because he was trying to do the right thing.

Martin said he had been at the summer pool party for about an hour when police were called. “There was no drinking, no smoking, like other people have said there was. It was just a normal teenage party,” he said.

Casebolt announced his resignation in a one-sentence-long statement on Tuesday.
